UMBC Roundabout - Maryland The University of Maryland, Baltimore Campus is undergoing a major expansion and will become a major technology resource for the region. This roundabout was installed to handle the increased traffic loads that the expansion will bring as well as to increase the safety of the intersection which was subject to “erratic” driving on the part of students who were late for class.
